Marketing - Geographic Segmentation



Geographic Segmentation calls for diving the market into different geographical units such as nations, states, regions, cities, etc. The company can decide to operate in one or a few graphic areas or operate in all but pay attention to local variations in geographic needs and preferences eg. Bagh Bakri tea brand has 60% market share in state of Gujrat (90% in Ahemdabad).
